The challenge -
Peter Laux, Locomotive Engineman from Australia, “will pay $10,000 (AUS) for a conclusive argument based on empirical facts that increasing atmospheric CO2 from fossil fuel burning drives global climate warming.”
Peter replied: ".....yes, i'ts still active and "forbidden' by the thermophobes, they know its a "hiding to nothing" to challenge, so ignore it."
The hypothesis that man-made emissions of CO2 are causing runaway global warming has been falsified more than once. As more peer-reviewed papers are released questioning the hypothesis, perhaps the Alarmists will thrown up their hands, say they were wrong and Peter can put his money to a better use.
Two points: 1. there is nothing unusual about current temps (i.e... the hockey stick is bogus), and 2. analysis of ice cores show that CO2 does NOT! drive temp (temp rises, then in ~800 years CO2 rises in response).
ReplyDeleteOne of these 2 points would be enough, but together they destroy the AGW theory. It's simple, and it's all we need. k.i.s.s.
By the way, in the 1990s (exact date?) the IPCC presented the hockey stick & the alleged CO2 / temp causal correlation as the foundation, and very basis, for the AGW theory. Now, both of these foundations have been pulled out (repudiated). The whole theory should collapse, but it still stands in public perception. !!!
