Monolopy in Science doesn't work!

Jo Nova

Michelle Strong, a member of our Australian Climate Sceptics Facebook group recently posted to Facebook the 2013 interview between (Chris)Topher Field and Joanne NovaJo speaks of her own journey and how she went from being a 'veteran believer' in Global Warming to being the high-profile sceptic she is today.

After rewatching the interview, the main point I gained from this....

Science needs it’s opposition. It’s just like in a legal case, it would be a sham trial if you didn’t have a prosecution and a defence; it’s  just like in a free market, if you don’t have businesses actually competing, it isn’t a free market, it is a monopoly. Well, we’ve had a monopoly in science and it doesn’t work in science either. We need people trying to  disprove each others theories, straight out of Karl Popper’s falsification of science, we need people to sit there and fight it out and say “you’re wrong because of this…and “you’re wrong because of that..” and may the best man or woman win.
