Carbon Dioxide tax will penalise people

Carbon Trade? 1 lump of coal for 1 lump of diamond
Sid Maher, writing in the Australian.
AUSTRALIA faces a $30 billion hit to growth by 2018 if domestic carbon prices remain higher than the European price, according to new economic modelling that will add to business pressure to bring the $23 starting price closer to Europe's $10.
The modelling, by the Centre for International Economics consultancy, warns that keeping the $23 fixed price regime and the floor price of $15 a tonne -- key elements of the current package -- will have almost twice the impact on economic growth by 2018 as allowing the Australian price to track international prices.
  • The Chicago Climate Exchange collapsed.
  • European price of carbon credits is under €8.
  • Scam after scam have beseiged European trading
Still, it will probably be OK here in Australia. Julia and Wayne say so.

Flannery fooled Australian Government into believing he is an expert.

Spot the Galahs!
Tim Flannery wrote a book called The Weather Makers. On the back of that book he was made Australian of the Year. Dr Wes Allen exposed flaws in the Weather Makers with his analysis The Weather Makers Re-examined.

Mr Flannery is Australia's (part-time) Panasonic Climate Change Commissioner appointed by the Green Gillard Government.

Gemma Jones writing in the Daily Telegraph:
Every NSW town visited by Professor Tim Flannery or his Climate Commission colleagues for community forums where residents were told they were in a "drying trend" has been deluged by rain up to three times the annual average.
After being warned to expect drying conditions but more rain in winter than summer, Tamworth was drenched last month with 121mm of summer rain in 24 hours - the highest fall on record.
Wollongong was warned it could experience such significant drying conditions that bushfires would be worse, and when rain came it would be in intense bursts.
The city was drenched in the past nine weeks with 661mm of rain, more than twice the 258mm average for the first three months of the year.
Last month, Andrew Bolt wrote:
TIM Flannery has just been hired by the Gillard Government to scare us stupid, and I can’t think of a better man for the job.
This Alarmist of the Year is worth every bit of the $180,000 salary he’ll get as part-time chairman of the Government’s new Climate Commission.
His job is simple: to advise us that we really, truly have to accept, say, the new tax on carbon dioxide emissions that this Government threatens to impose.
Andrew then details Mr Flannery's failed fanciful forecasting.
In 2005, Flannery predicted Sydney’s dams could be dry in as little as two years because global warming was drying up the rains, leaving the city “facing extreme difficulties with water”
Check Sydney’s dam levels today: 73 per cent. Hmm. Not a good start.
In 2008, Flannery said: “The water problem is so severe for Adelaide that it may run out of water by early 2009.”
Check Adelaide’s water storage levels today: 77 per cent.
In 2007, Flannery predicted cities such as Brisbane would never again have dam-filling rains, as global warming had caused “a 20 per cent decrease in rainfall in some areas” and made the soil too hot, “so even the rain that falls isn’t actually going to fill our dams and river systems ...
Check the Murray-Darling system today: in flood. Check Brisbane’s dam levels: 100 per cent full.
All this may seem funny, but some politicians, voters and investors have taken this kind of warming alarmism very seriously and made expensive decisions in the belief it was sound.
How long before the Gullible Green Gillard Government grow tired of this mammalogist pretending to be a climate expert?
Cate Blanchett launched Tim's book - Here on Earth.
She should have launched it Into Space -
if it is anything like his very flawed The Weather Makers

The Tragedy (for alarmists) of Arctic Ice

Steve Goddard's Real Science reports:
We are told by the world's leading experts, that missing Arctic ice (doomed by the death spiral) was responsible for the record snow and cold this winter, while other experts tell us that this past winter was typified by record warmth and a lack of snow.
If this isn’t completely clear, report by U-boat to Hansen’s underwater Manhattan office for your lobotomy.
