AGW Fraud exposed by (almost) a Man on the Moon

John Stewart watched Neil Armstrong walk upon the Moon and composed a song about it (link). This was recorded by my (late departed) friend Reg Lindsay who had a hit with the song (See below)

Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin's Apollo 11 mission was preceded by many including Apollo 7.
Apollo 7 was an October 1968 human spaceflight mission carried out by the United States. It was the first mission in the United States' Apollo program to carry a crew into space.
The Apollo 7 crew was commanded by Walter M. Schirra, with senior pilot / navigator Donn F. Eisele, and pilot / systems engineer R. Walter Cunningham.

Pilot / systems engineer Walter Cunningham, like other NASA astronauts, was aware of the #agwFraud. In 2010 Walter Cunningham wrote a booklet:

Anyone can read Walter's whole treatise from the link above, but here is his conclusion:
Understanding global warming and what, if anything, humans can do to affect it are scientific questions that can be answered only by science and scientific data. Yet global warming alarmists invariably try to make their case by resorting to rhetoric, dogma, opinion, and emotion. The closest thing to scientific data in their articles is the occasional chart claiming a poorly understood correlation between atmospheric CO2 and the Earth’s temperature.
Correlation is not causation. For five years, Michael J. Economides, a professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering at the University of Houston, has had a standing offer of $10,000 for a single peer-reviewed paper showing causality between CO2 and increased temperature.
None exists!
On the other hand, scientists who understand the Earth’s temperature—as much as it can be understood—rebut the alarmists with papers replete with facts, science, charts, and data tables.
With so many uninformed and misguided politicians ignoring the available science, our country’s priorities will drift away from hard science and tend toward decadence. The politicization of science is tantamount to killing it. It is our collective responsibility to champion the use of responsible science to inform politicians.
There are hopeful signs that some true believers are beginning to harbor doubts about anthropogenic global warming. We can only hope the focus of the discussion returns to scientific evidence before we have perpetrated an economic disaster on ourselves and generations to come.
Meanwhile, here is Reg's Armstrong:

Intermittent electricity must be backed up by a reliable fossil-fuel generator.

Retired electrical engineer Kent Hawkins wrote in February 2010 that
“the introduction of wind power into an electricity system increases the fossil fuel consumption and CO2 emissions beyond levels that would have occurred using efficient gas plants alone as the providers of electricity equivalent to the firmed wind.” (Source)

This is because every kilowatt-hour of intermittent electricity introduced into the grid must be backed up by a reliable fossil-fuel generator. When the wind doesn’t blow and the sun doesn’t shine, the demand for electricity remains.
Starting and stopping natural gas-fired generators is inefficient, comparable to operating a car in stop and go traffic instead of steady and efficient on the open highway. Just like the car, the fuel consumption can double, along with the carbon emissions, negating any presumed carbon savings by using solar or wind.

Meanwhile, down-under in Oz, our energy reliant industries are suffering to our Australian government's bowing to the "Green" dependance on unreliable intermittent renewable energy.

Big energy users to share back-up power burden
Tomago aluminium plant in Tomago near Newcastle
A group of 100 of Australia’s biggest energy users will be required to shoulder responsibility for ensuring the security of the national energy market by contracting their own back-up power or agreeing to dial down usage.
The National Energy Guarantee design document that was put to state ministers yesterday calls for a system of contracts that would help to shift some of the burden of reliability in electricity supply on to big customers, reducing the cost to power retailers.
The federal government would also back emissions reductions targets in the NEG with new penalties, including a fine of up to $100 million for failing to meet the target.
Really? The Australian Government is offloading its responsibility to ensure energy to Australians, its constituents. It is offloading  on "100 of Australia's biggest Energy Users" because of its stupidity in following the Green religion and favouriting unreliable intermittent energy instead of reliable, cheap coal-fired power.

And if that's not bad enough, Even China's News agencies are reporting the Australian government's failure to provide energy to industries:
|
CANBERRA, June 15 (Xinhua) -- The Australian industry will be put at risk unless the federal government's new energy policy guarantees round-the-clock power at internationally competitive prices, according to the country's biggest aluminium producer.
Tomago chief executive Matt Howell said renewable forms of energy were unable to deliver reliable and affordable power to energy-intensive users. Howell told The Australian newspaper on Friday: (Link- Xinghau-net)
"We cannot, in our approach to this transition, lose sight of the fact that there are 24/7 baseload energy customers,"
"And we have to make sure our grid can still provide energy to those customers at competitive prices, irrespective of the weather."

Vale Dr Vincent Gray

Long time readers of this blog will know of long time contributor, IPCC expert reviewer Dr Vincent Gray.

Dr Gray passed away last week. He was 96 years old. Vincent was an expert reviewer of every IPCC assessment report to date. He also wrote books published on Climate Change/AGW. This blogger edited his last book - The Global Warming Scam and Climate Change Superscam - and published it on line - HERE. It was subsequently published and is available on Kindle (Here).

Vincent introduced himself in The Global Warming Scam and Climate Change Superscam

My autobiography Confessions of a Climate Sceptic describes my origins, upbringing, education and scientific career but I am continually subject to disbelief, insult and refusal to be taken seriously. I feel I should summarise them here. At this writing, I am 93 years old and expect this book to be my final word. I have a First Class Honours degree in Physics, Chemistry, Chrystallography and Mathematics and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Cambridge University, UK. I've had a long scientific research career in the UK, France, Canada,  New Zealand and China with well over 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers on a variety of subjects, including climate. I am a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry. I have been an expert reviewer on all of the reports of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and I am 128 Greenhouse Bulletins and 340 NZ Climate Truth Newsletters,  most of which have appeared on the Internet.

Energy & Environmental Newsletter: June 18, 2018

The Alliance for Wise Energy Decisions (AWED) is an informal coalition of individuals and organizations interested in improving national, state, and local energy and environmental policies. Our premise is that technical matters like these should be addressed by using Real Science (please consult WiseEnergy.org for more information).
A key element of AWED’s efforts is public education. Towards that end, every three weeks we put together a newsletter to balance what is found in the mainstream media about energy and the environment. We appreciate MasterResource for their assistance in publishing this information.
