Energy & Environmental Newsletter: December 3, 2018

December 3, 2018
The Alliance for Wise Energy Decisions (AWED) is an informal coalition of individuals and organizations interested in improving national, state, and local energy and environmental policies. Our premise is that technical matters like these should be addressed by using Real Science (please consult WiseEnergy.org for more information).
A key element of AWED’s efforts is public education. Towards that end, every three weeks we put together a newsletter to balance what is found in the mainstream media about energy and the environment. We appreciate MasterResource for their assistance in publishing this information.
Some of the more important articles in this issue are:

Greed Energy Economics:

Turbine Health Matters:

Renewable Energy Destroying Ecosystems:
Short video: Thanks Fossil Fuels

Miscellaneous Energy News:
New Australian Organization: Saltbush Club
Disposing of spent nuclear fuel by Dry Rock Deposition (DRD)

University pushing BS (Bad Science.)

Bill Leak's wonderful son Johannes
Gee dear readers,

Well  I have drawn back but this IPA doco has insprired me to  make another contribution.

Dear reader, we need to rail against the leftie injustices in this world.

It is so sad that the brilliant Bill Leak was hounded out of existence by the "Human Rights (not)" Commissars.

Bill was a brilliant commenter (although more from the right than the left) who got hounded out of his brilliant arena. What a tradegy!

His son, Johannes Leak has continued Bill's cartoons. Great work, Johannes.

Meanwhile, my friend Peter Ridd is still being hounded for promoting integrity in science.

Shouldn't the University be supporting Peter Ridd for promoting scientific integrity, rather than pushing (Bad Science) BS science?

Hope for the future with two new groups.

What's this?

This clown (me) said yesterday that he was retiring....... and now he posts another post?

Well, it's a bit like some-one hooked on drugs.....trying to give it up.

I had an interesting comment from some-one who has been a long time commenter on OUR blog, Alan Vaughn.

I don't know Alan from a bar of soap, but his comments over the years have been on mark.

His comment on yesterday's post:
Well this is sad news for me Geoff, yet I can certainly empathize. Describing it as slamming your head against a brick wall doesn't begin to describe frustration we both share, along with countless millions of others (I hope).
Unfortunately, regardless of how high their IQ scores might be, humans will always be prone to and fall victim to propaganda, especially the relentless hysterical scaremongering this scam has been churning out from its UN HQ over recent years.
I think you're probably right to give up now. Even the more well known glow-bull warming sceptic's websites are rapidly descending into AGW fraud brainwashed, socialist troll riddled cesspits of scorn and ridicule.
Frankly I think our crusade is hopeless, but on the bright side, I also think the deluded and gullible, brainwashed believers of the AGW / climate change hoax, who support the UN's humanity loathing socialist agenda, will eventually become the scam's biggest victims. All self inflicted. Viz: Orwell's Animal Farm.

Kind Regards,Alan

And my reply:

Thank you, Alan. Over the years your comments have always been appreciated.
There IS hope that my head banging has dented that wall and two new groups announced this week might add a sledge hammer (or at least a feather duster) to continue the wall-whacking...

The Saltbush Club (http://pickeringpost.com/story/the-saltbush-club/8689)Skilled and Thinking Australians concerned at the huge costs and unproven benefits of the climate, energy and infrastructure policies on both sides of Federal Parliament.

Advance Australia:GetUp faces conservative challenger Advance Australia (https://www.advanceaustralia.org.au/advisory_council)

Blogger's Rest and Recreation Leave

It's Goodbye from me and
(hopefully) Goodbye from him^^^
G'day followers and supporters,

After 15 years fighting the #agwFraud, I have decided to step back and take a break. The constant slamming my head into a brick wall has taken its toll and I need some rest and recreation.

If there are any readers who feel they can contribute by running the Australian Sceptics blog, please let me know - email  info AT australianclimatesceptics.com.......

Meanwhile, to help me say "Good Bye" here are Dudley Moore assisted by Peter Cook, T-Bone Walker on guitar, Peter Sellers on snare drum, and the Dudley Moore trio of Chris Karan on Drums and Pete McGurk on Bass

Now its time to say goodbye,
now its time to yield a sigh,
Until we meet again some Sunny day.
Goodbye
Goodbye..

Brazil on Paris Accord...No..er..Yes..er...no!

Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro

At the end of last month, Jair Bolsonaro was voted in as the next president of Brazil. During the campaign Bolsonaro said
he would follow Donald Trump out of the international pact, drawing criticism from the UN’s environment chief (link)
however, Bolsonaro folded after bleatings from the lefty sheeple:
Bolsonaro vowed to follow in U.S. President Donald Trump's footsteps and leave the Paris climate accord, though he recently backpedaled on that stance............. He said the country would stay in the agreement - as long as it did not have to give up jurisdiction of the Brazilian Amazon. The accord makes no mention of this possibility. (link)
There is hope for the side yet. Jair Bolsonaro appointed Ernesto Araújo as Foreign Minister. Brazil's new Foreign Minister
believes climate change is a Marxist tactic to instil fear, stifle the economic growth of western countries, and benefit China. (link)

Incidentally, Bolsonaro wants to move their Israel embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Perhaps Australian's politicians should pay more attention to Brazil. They definitely should pay more attention to their electorates.
