All Scientists are Sceptics ~Professor Bob Carter

Whenever someone asserts that a scientific question is “settled,” they tell me immediately that they don’t understand the first thing about science. Science is never settled. Dr David Deming

Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of the science of climate change is the lack of any real substance in attempts to justify the hypothesis ~Professor Stewart Franks

Australian Government wastes billions on Climate Change Hoax. Tim Flannery should be ashamed.

Cartoons by Josh
Listen to Alan Jones and  Craig Kelly on 2GB - http://www.2gb.com/audioplayer/152586

Preamble by Alan re the recent deluge of rain in Sydney, Darwin, St Kilda, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Tasmania and flood warnings re cyclone Stan in W.A.

Alan:
Craig Kelly, member for Hughes does his homework and talks the language of his electorate. (Last week Craig attended the funeral of Professor Bob Carter.)

Alan says he doesn’t know of a Federal MP more in touch and that Craig has done some homework on previous Australian of the year, Tim Flannery.

Some of Flannery’s predictions. Back then Flannery said  to play a thought game ten years on i.e. 2016:
  • We are coming to the peak of production of oil; and so inevitable fuel cutback which might help the fight against climate change;
  • Governments would be spending even more money defending their low-lying areas;
  • Oil prices 2 or 3 times what they were then;
  • increased problems of Hurricanes and Insurance losses;
  • problems of water unavailability - Warragamba Dam would never again be full;
  • sea levels to rise;
  • arctic ice to melt

Waste on Kurnell NSW Desal Plant Source
Craig Kelly examines how reliable Flannery’s prediction are:
  • Oil then 62.80/barrel prediction (2 or 3 times) - 125.60 -184.40 but has halved (See which way will oil price go?)
  • Arctic see ice levels higher than what they’ve been at any time over the last decade (prediction period)
  • Warragamba Dam for two year 80% full and now lapping at the brims at 95%. Now NSW taxpayers are paying half a million dollars per day for a rusting unneeded desalination plant.

Craig says that, every time we have a difficult problem, we should put Flannery in a room and ask what his prediction is and then do the exact opposite.

Flannery said Insurance claims would go through the roof. The exact opposite has happened. In their annual review of insurance payout s for 2015, Re-insurer Munich Re paid out $27 billion - well below the 10 year average of $56 billion.

Flannery said, on the ABC on Dec 13, 2015 after the failed COP21 gabfest:
"In the first ever universal climate agreement, leaders the world over have marked the end of the fossil fuel era and provided a catalyst for what could be the greatest period of technological innovation in the history of mankind.
"The era of renewable energy is upon us."
Australia is spending $8 Billion dollars building Wind Turbines around the country. By the year 2040, wind and solar power will only generate 2.4% of world power. (Source International Energy Authority) Billions and billions wasted.

Australia's Wasted Money of Climate Change: (Australian Treasurers please note)
  • Unneeded Desal Plants;
  • $8billion on unnecessary Wind Turbines;
  • $20 billion on renewable energy subsidies;
  • Many Government "Climate Hoax" Departments and subsidies.

Tim Flannery - Australian of the Year 2007 - has made a mockery of the award.

  1. Sounds like Paul Ehrlich over here. To truly reach saint hood they have to reach the level of being unable to correctly predict when they need to go to the bathroom.

    1. Yep! Ehrlich who first predicted Global Cooling caused by CO2:

      "In 1974, Stanford’s Paul Ehrlich said global cooling was going to kill us all."

      See: https://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2015/11/17/before-he-was-pushing-the-global-warming-scam-paul-ehrlich-was-pushing-the-global-cooling-scam/

      Then, when it started to warm again, hopped on to the Global Warming Bandwagon.

      Why aren't people like Ehrlich and Flannery, who have caused billions on wastage of taxpayers' dollars, in Gaol (Flannery) of Jail (Ehrlich?)

  2. Sent to the Australian Treasurer Scott Morrison. His auto reply:

    Thank you for your message to the The Hon Scott Morrison MP – Treasurer.

    BUDGET CUTS SAVING BILLIONS

    Dear Treasurer,

    As the government draws up the budget, there is a way to cut billions of waste from the budget.

    Australia's Wasted Money of Climate Change: (Australian Treasurers please note)
    Unneeded Desal Plants;
    $8billion on unnecessary Wind Turbines;
    $20 billion on renewable energy subsidies;
    Many Government “Climate Hoax” Departments and subsidies.

    Mr Craig Kelly could help ear-mark the places

  3. Not only has Australia had more rain than predicted by Flannery, Mark Albright of the Atmospheric Sciences Department of UWA (http://www.atmos.washington.edu/people/staff.shtml) has reported;
    "We are now 2/3 of the way through what was forecast by the Oregon Climate Service to be the dry winter of 2015-16. The Dec-Jan precipitation in Portland (KPDX) totalled 22.47 inches which was 217% of normal (10.37 inches). January 2016 precipitation summed to 7.23 inches which was +2.35 inches above normal."

    Interesting.
