All Scientists are Sceptics ~Professor Bob Carter

Whenever someone asserts that a scientific question is “settled,” they tell me immediately that they don’t understand the first thing about science. Science is never settled. Dr David Deming

Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of the science of climate change is the lack of any real substance in attempts to justify the hypothesis ~Professor Stewart Franks

Father of #AGWHoax, Maurice Strong dead.

TORONTO (AP) (LINK) — Maurice Strong, whose work helped lead to the landmark climate summit that begins in Paris on Monday, has died at age 86, the head of the U.N.'s environmental agency said Saturday.
The Canadian-born Strong, the first U.N. Environment Program chief, organized the Rio Earth Summit in 1992, which led to the launch of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Strong's Energy Fortune

Strong made his fortune in the oil and energy business running companies such as Petro Canada, Power Corporation, CalTex Africa, Hydro Canada, the Colorado Land and Cattle Company, Ajax Petroleum, Canadian Industrial Oil and Gas— to name just a few.
Christiana Figueres, the current head of the U.N. climate agency, tweeted Saturday that "we thank Maurice Strong for his visionary impetus to our understanding of sustainability. We will miss you."
This is the same Christiana Figueres who sent out a press release in February saying that the environmental movement was not about the environment but it was to destroy capitalism, (LINK)

It was ever thus.

Before setting up the structure for the hoax, Maurice Strong spoke re the Club of Rome:
What if a small group of these world leaders were to conclude the principal risk to the Earth comes from the actions of the rich countries? .....
In order to save the planet, the group decides: Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrial civilizations collapse. Isn't it our responsibility to bring this about? (LINK)
And again to National Revue Magazine 1/9/97
Frankly, we may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrial civilization to collapse.
The same Maurice Strong has been hiding in China (with all their genuine pollution) to avoid being

A Waste of Money at COP21

Cold Winds they blow over icy seas.
Don't look too much like no warmth to me.
A Waste of Money
A Waste called COP21.

Alarmists want to transform the West;

And so they try to do their best
To take our money.
Waste it at COP21.

Alarm will return again and again
They’ll come back for more money from you;
Because their
One aim is to transform Western economies.
So, they’ll want  money from you.

They want more cash at COP21

COP21 more money
A waste of money.

Unprecedented Arctic Sea Ice extent highest for date since at least 2004

Image: Steve Goddard from
Ocean and Ice Services | Danmarks Meteorologiske Institut
DMI note:

Total sea ice extent on the northern hemisphere since 2005. The ice extent values are calculated from the ice type data from the Ocean and Sea Ice, Satellite Application Facility (OSISAF), where areas with ice concentration higher than 30% are classified as ice.
The total area of sea ice is the sum of First Year Ice (FYI), Multi Year Ice (MYI) and the area of ambiguous ice types, from the OSISAF ice type product. However, the total estimated ice area is underestimated due to unclassified coastal regions where mixed land/sea pixels confuse the applied ice type algorithm. The shown sea ice extent values are therefore recommended be used qualitatively in relation to ice extent values from other years shown in the figure. In late 2012 sea ice climatology and anomaly data will be available here.

NSW State Government - Scientific Approach to SLR - Not IPCC Propaganda

The Australian Newspaper reports Planning Minister Rob Stokes will announce:
"what he says are world-first strategies that treat the 2007km NSW coast not as static fixed geography but as a constantly changing and evolving phenomenon."
In an interview with The Australian, Mr Stokes said he would be announcing
“a much more scientific and evidence-based approach … it reflects recognition that what is happening on the coast is a product of what is happening to the sand off the coast. We will be integrating coastal management and planning with what is happening in the adjacent seabed.”
Will PM Malcolm Turnbull and FM Julie Bishop take notice of this at Paris COP21?

The Weather Experiment

NZCLIMATE TRUTH NEWSLETTER

NUMBER  345 NOVEMBER  9TH  2015

by IPCC Expert Reviewer Dr Vincent Gray

Dear Folks

I have just seen yet another climate survey 'Climate Models Part 1.'

He gives the series of scientific studies which established the current scientific study of the climate.

He shows that they have established:
  • Every property of the climate is instantly variable. The properties are so skewed that no average can be measured
  • A  forecast can cover ±2 degrees, with a bias of ±1 degree for only a few days

These properties have been established  by scientific methods.

The new models can only solve them by fraud.

They begin by assuming a model has a completely wrong number, even including a 29km radius.
It can only be done by fraud.

Note to the Warmists:
Your people assume the thermal as some sense and make it worse by using the figures as constants when there is considerable uncertainties.      Also you treat a highly variable temperature sequence as statically valid. They even take  fractions of a degree.
A statistical  uncertainty is  be considered  to be very  great but how is it derived there is talk of a constant. In addition the figures for the supposed balance are variable and the carbon dioxide, like all the atmospheric values, is variable but is shown by satellites to be varied.
It is understandable that all of you are stuck into this mass.

Every day they say that  horrible things are  likely.  Matt  Ridley has written a book about it.

One head of state has agreed with me: Vladimir Putin.

How many of the Warmists will admit that it is all a Scam and  not waste so  much  empty literature.

The Paris Climate Challenge

As COP21 approaches, the Counter-Conference has also been arranged:

In 2009 we laid down the Copenhagen Climate Challenge, when we asked UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon to answer 10 questions about climate. We’re back to ask the same and more questions, and challenge the climate ‘consensus’ in Paris at COP 21 with alternative climate hypotheses. If you have something to say in Paris, we still have places for a few more speakers. Take some time to navigate our pages, you can leave a comment if you’d like to say something in response to the articles backing up our 10 questions to Ban Ki-Moon below.

His Excellency Ban-Ki Moon,
Secretary-General, United Nations,

Dear Secretary-General,
Climate change science is in a period of ‘negative discovery’ – the more we learn about this exceptionally complex and rapidly evolving field the more we realize

2014 Hottest Year Debunked by NASA; NOAA.

Cartoons by Josh
In order to support the man made global warming hoax, the shrill have to push the false idea that each year was hotter than the previous year and each year they say that year XXXX was the hottest on record.

Last year, 2014 has been described as the hottest year: eg
2014 has taken the title of hottest year on record.
How accurate are these claims?

With the help of Marc Morano's CLIMATE DEPOT, these claims are debunked.

Should the COP21 delegates base billion contributions to the Green Climate Fund on "science"  from these clowns?
Follow this trail:

NASA:GISS and NOAA claim 2014 to be warmest year: (link)
The year 2014 ranks as Earth’s warmest since 1880, according to two separate analyses by NASA and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scientists.
But Were they sure?

we-e-ell...er....umm...no, we are only 38% sure...er.... (link)..er that means that they were 62% unsure.
The Nasa climate scientists who claimed 2014 set a new record for global warmth last night admitted they were only 38 per cent sure this was true.
In a press release on Friday, Nasa’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) claimed its analysis of world temperatures showed ‘2014 was the warmest year on record’.
The claim made headlines around the world, but yesterday it emerged that GISS’s analysis – based on readings from more than 3,000 measuring stations worldwide – is subject to a margin of error. Nasa admits this means it is far from certain that 2014 set a record at all.
So, does the plateau in global warming exist? BEST says that there has been at least 10 years hiatus.

Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature (BEST) study (link - pdf) said there was very little difference between 2005, 2010 and 2014
Numerically, our best estimate for the global temperature of 2014 puts it slightly above (by0.01ºC) that of the next warmest year (2010) but by much less than the margin of' uncertainty (0.05'C).'Therefore it is impossible to conclude from our analysis which of 2014, 2010 or 2005 was actually the warmest year.
Even so, the highest year could not be distinguished. That is,of course, an indication that the Earth’s average temperature for the last decade has changed very little.

No global warming at all for 18 years 9 months – a new record

The Pause lengthens again – just in time for UN Summit in Paris

As the faithful gather around their capering shamans in Paris for the New Superstition’s annual festival of worship, the Pause lengthens yet again. One-third of Man’s entire influence on climate since the Industrial Revolution has occurred since February 1997. Yet the 225 months since then show no global warming at all (Fig. 1). With this month’s RSS temperature record, the Pause beats last month’s record and now stands at 18 years 9 months.

COP21 and Australian Sovereignty

Email sent today.

To Malcolm Turnbull, PM; Julie Bishop, Foreign Minister; Greg Hunt, Minister for the Environment.

There is concern among many Australians that, against our wishes, you will sign Kyoto 2 at COP21 in Paris, abandoning Australia’s sovereignty.

Are you aware that a French Science body has described the battle against global warming as an absurd, costly and pointless crusade?

The French Scientific organisation Société de Calcul Mathématique SA (link) has described the battle against global warming as an absurd, costly and pointless crusade in their White Paper. In a very detailed report they say, inter alia, that
  • ·      None of the information on global temperatures is of any scientific value; (P31)
  • ·      CO2: measurement stations are not distributed evenly and there are clearly not enough of them, given the great variability of CO2 concentrations; (P52)
  • ·       the entire methodology used to observe CO2 has to be overhauled before we can even think about the results that have been obtained by these observations; (P56)
  • ·      Sea Level Rise: is due to the cooling down of the core of the terrestrial globe which has been taking place gradually for five billion years - human beings have nothing to do with it. (P76)

Also please consider the reports from the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (link). Whereas the reports of the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warn of a dangerous human effect on climate, NIPCC concludes the human effect is likely to be small relative to natural variability, and whatever small warming is likely to occur will produce benefits.

The Greens have for years stated that they wanted Australian Sovereignty to be replaced by a UN-led World Government. (Back up link) but it has never been part of LNP platform.

At COP21, please do not sign away Australia’s sovereignty without first asking the people. (And if you have to sign, make sure that there is a back-out clause.)

Good News for COP21: NASA study shows Antarctic Ice Growing

  • Antarctica is gaining more ice than it has lost, according to a new NASA study.
“The good news is that Antarctica is not currently contributing to sea level rise, but is taking 0.23 millimeters per year away,” Zwally said. (LINK)

Good news for the COP21 delegates too. They do not have to worry about Sea Level Rise.

The Paper by Zwally et al was published in the  Journal of Glaciology published byInternational Glaciological Society (link)

Abstract:

Mass changes of the Antarctic ice sheet impact sea-level rise as climate changes, but recent rates have been uncertain. Ice, Cloud and land Elevation Satellite (ICESat) data (2003–08) show mass gains from snow accumulation exceeded discharge losses by 82 ± 25 Gt a–1, reducing global sea-level rise by 0.23 mm a–1. European Remote-sensing Satellite (ERS) data (1992–2001) give a similar gain of 112 ± 61 Gt a–1. Gains of 136 Gt a–1 in East Antarctica (EA) and 72 Gt a–1 in four drainage systems (WA2) in West Antarctic (WA) exceed losses of 97 Gt a–1 from three coastal drainage systems (WA1) and 29 Gt a–1 from the Antarctic Peninsula (AP). EA dynamic thickening of 147 Gt a–1 is a continuing response to increased accumulation (>50%) since the early Holocene. Recent accumulation loss of 11 Gt a–1 in EA indicates thickening is not from contemporaneous snowfall increases. Similarly, the WA2 gain is mainly (60 Gt a–1) dynamic thickening. In WA1 and the AP, increased losses of 66 ± 16 Gt a–1 from increased dynamic thinning from accelerating glaciers are 50% offset by greater WA snowfall. The decadal increase in dynamic thinning in WA1 and the AP is approximately one-third of the long-term dynamic thickening in EA and WA2, which should buffer additional dynamic thinning for decades.

We Must Defend Our Access to Energy
 - it is threatened in Paris

Every living thing needs access to energy – food, light and warmth.

But the UN is plotting to limit our access to energy.

This cartoon may be used freely providing the author’s name is
retained and the source is acknowledged: www.carbon-sense.com

A study of human history shows what a grave threat this poses to all of us.

Our distant ancestors were hunter-gatherers. They killed and ate wild animals, which provided much of their energy needs. Solar energy warmed their days, and gave life to the herbs, roots and fruits they gathered and to the grasses and shrubs that sustained their prey. Sunlight reflected from the moon allowed them to hunt and fish during moon-lit nights. The sun and moon dominated their world, so naturally many of them worshipped these heavenly bodies.

The invention of stone and wooden weapons and tools increased their access to energy – hunting and gathering was more efficient with tools.

The discovery of how to control fire multiplied man’s access to energy. Fire provided heat and light and could be used to clear vegetation, fight enemies and trap wild animals.

Hunter-gatherers need access to land, preferably free from competitors. This led to the development of territory with defined and defended property boundaries. Property rights are thus an essential ingredient to provide guaranteed access to food and energy.

Some hunters discovered they could harvest more food by maintaining their own tended plots of crops and vegetables and protecting domesticated goats, pigs, cattle and sheep from wild animals and poachers. Farms with fences allowed humans greatly increased access to the solar energy collected by plants and processed into human food by domesticated animals.

The long experiment with collective and tribal farming showed that individual farmers with secure property rights produce more food and are better at protecting the long term value of their land. Tribalism and open range grazing are key factors in the recurring famines in Africa.

Farmers soon realised that land with good soils, reliable water supplies and warm moist climate produces more food. A warrior class emerged to acquire and defend the tribe’s exclusive long-term access to these fertile fields.

Some tribes discovered they could trade their surplus food, tools or weapons for other goods in scarce supply. This free trade increased their access to food and energy.

Trade requires transport, and the use of oxen, horses, donkeys, mules and camels for transport was a great boost to trade. With a bridle and saddle, the horse allowed humans to hunt, patrol and defend a far larger territory.

The discovery of how to smelt metals from ores using charcoal provided another great leap in human access to energy. Metals made better ploughs, spears, swords, shields and digging forks.

But the giant leap for mankind was the progressive discovery of how to use that black shiny rock called “coal”; first in camp fires, then to smelt ores and, in a great energy leap, to power steam engines. Soon thousands of water pumps, factories, locomotives, traction engines, ships and electric generators were being driven by coal. Mankind gained access to an almost unlimited supply of energy via heat, light and motive power wherever it was needed.

The discovery of that other marvellous hydrocarbon, petroleum, gave humans access to a powerful source of portable energy. Tractors, trucks and buses replaced wagons, coaches, horses and bullocks, releasing more energy for humans.

This access to cheap reliable energy created widespread prosperity, families became smaller and people took more interest in conserving their heritage and environment.

Try to picture our world before we gained access to hydrocarbon energy – there was limited energy from wood, sun, wind and water but there were no trains, electricity, motor vehicles, appliances, hi-rise buildings, hi-tech hospitals or the millions of products produced by reliable electric-powered mining machinery, smelters, refineries, fabricators and factories. Famine and poverty were common occurrences and there was little concern for welfare, culture or the environment.

Cities which were choking in smog from open fires and boilers were also rescued by electricity – “the clean-coal-by-wire”. And in another bit of environmental serendipity, burning of these buried hydrocarbons is returning carbon dioxide to Earth’s carbon-deficient atmosphere to support more plant growth all over the globe.

We and the entire biosphere should celebrate having more CO2 in the atmosphere:

The harnessing of nuclear power then gave mankind the key to almost unlimited power for as long as people have enough sense to use it safely.

Earth’s growing human and animal population depend, more than ever, on maintaining this hard-won heritage of resources, rights, inventions and infrastructure. It is what ensures future access to reliable affordable food and energy.

Today the biggest threat to human well-being is the global war on carbon being run by climate-scare/sustainability zealots. They are trying to undermine and reverse centuries of discoveries and legal heritage.

But they know there is no practical possibility that we can reliably energise our world with the green energy of our ancestors, even if we smothered the surface with windmills and solar shades. Their secret dream is to destroy urbanised and industrialised humanity, ban private property and free trade, close the mines, factories, farms and fisheries, tear down the fences and dams and return the decimated human race to rationed, taxed and globally-controlled dormitories and urban play-grounds.

This is what these enemies of humanity really think:

"Giving society cheap, abundant energy would be the
equivalent of giving an idiot child a machine gun."
-Prof Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University

"Isn't the only hope for the planet that the
industrialized civilizations collapse?
Isn't it our responsibility to bring that about?"
-Maurice Strong,
founder of the UN Environment Programme

"
We must make this an insecure and inhospitable place
for capitalists and their projects. We must reclaim the roads and
ploughed land, halt dam construction, tear down existing dams,
free shackled rivers and return to wilderness
millions of acres of presently settled land."

"My three main goals would be to reduce human population to
about 100 million worldwide, destroy the industrial infrastructure
and see wilderness, with its full complement of species,
returning throughout the world."
-Dave Foreman,
co-founder of Earth First!

"My vision is for a country, a society, a world where we don't use any coal, oil, or natural gas because we have zero-emissions electricity in huge abundance,"
-Dr Alan Finkel
Australia’s new green government-appointed “Chief Scientist”.

And see here to learn what they think is “Unsustainable”:

These foes of freedom and their clandestine controllers are planning to forge the green chains of a global government for humanity in Paris next month.

They must not succeed.

We must defend our right to develop and use our own land, resources and property to produce abundant, reliable and affordable energy and food.

Tell our politicians: “Sign NOTHING that we can’t get out of, in Paris in December.”

Where have all the Eagles Gone?

Opinions vs Facts

Climate is always changing, but luckily we live in an era with a stable, benign, warm climate and a healthy, abundant bio-sphere.

Alarmists who claim that today’s climate changes are unprecedented have not checked the climate history written in the rocks, the ice cores, the satellite registers and the tide gauges.

Ice core records show that current temperatures and sea levels are not extreme - they are more stable than they were as the last ice age ended just 12,000 years ago. At that time, global temperature increased quickly, the great ice sheets melted, sea levels rose rapidly (130 metres), and the warming seas expelled much of their dissolved carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. As a result of this natural global warming and the additional moisture and carbon dioxide plant food in the atmosphere, plant life recovered and the great forests and grasslands were re-established.

Not one coal-fired power station, diesel truck or feedlot of belching bovines contributed to those massive climate changes; and ancient witch-doctors were unable to prevent flooding of coastal settlements by sacrificing humans to the Climate God. Then, as now, nature controls the climate.

More recent evidence from ice cores, sediment layers and even historical records show that for the last 7,000 years Earth’s climate has been relatively stable. Even more recently, satellite records show that global temperatures have not risen significantly for 18 years.

The tide gauges surrounding the Pacific show that sea levels are barely rising and satellites show that there is little change in the average area of polar ice.

Our climate is NOT changing rapidly, no matter how often alarmists and their media mates repeat this lie.

Today, witch-doctors wearing UN/IPCC head-dress are again demanding that humans sacrifice their industry and jobs on the carbon altar in the hope of changing the climate. This sacrifice will enrich green vested interests but will fail to change the climate.

Alarmists should check the facts. Just one stubborn fact or careful observation will beat 97 pal-reviewed opinions.

Alarmists should heed Senator Moynihan’s advice:
“You are entitled to your opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts.”

Finally, Remember the Last Word:

All the warmists in the world are preparing to gather in Paris. Imitating Rudd, Turnbull is even planning to attend this gala green gabfest, supported by Bishop, and maybe Hunt. The cheer leader will be the clueless Obama, the cynical urgers will be Russia and China, and the only ones with open good sense will probably be Poland and India. Of course all the climate beggars of Africa and the Pacific will be there hoping that more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will produce more manna from the UN gods.

Make sure that all politicians get this message, often, strongly, and from everyone:

“Sign No binding Agreement in Paris
and put a ‘Get Out’ clause on anything proposed”.
