Hydro Power works; wind power fails.

The attached graph is from the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) in the US Pacific Northwest. It is updated every 5 minutes. (link)

At the time of this graph it can be seen that, as only one day had any significant wind power generation, the people of Bonneville can be thankful that they have Hydro power.


An interesting aside is the fact that power from Bonneville's dam made contributions to the US war effort during WWII. BPA supplied power to shipyards at Portland Oregon and on the Puget Sound in Washington. (link - pdf)
