All Scientists are Sceptics ~Professor Bob Carter

Whenever someone asserts that a scientific question is “settled,” they tell me immediately that they don’t understand the first thing about science. Science is never settled. Dr David Deming

Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of the science of climate change is the lack of any real substance in attempts to justify the hypothesis ~Professor Stewart Franks

Bushfire Bastards Club: new members.

by Anthony Cox

Leading AGW alarmist Will Steffen was on the ABC this morning saying it was to be expected that in an AGW warming world there would be more and worse bushfires. Where else would an alarmist who makes continual hysterical comments about the scam of AGW be? Who can forget Steffan’s classic comments about hurricane Sandy the last favourite natural weather event of the vultures of AGW? Steffan said:
SARA EVERINGHAM: Was this storm at the lower end of intensity for hurricanes?

WILL STEFFEN: It is at the lower end of intensity. But the point is without climate change it wouldn't have been as intense as it was
Sandy wasn’t even a hurricane, it was a storm but Steffen is saying without AGW it wouldn’t even have been a storm. Presumably it would never have occurred. This garbage about Sandy and AGW has been thoroughly repudiated.

I have already written about this lie that the bushfires are caused by AGW and the blatant avoidance by the likes of the influential Steffen, a proven exaggerator and misrepresenter, of the fact that Green policies have made bushfires worse by preventing proper hazard reduction management on both private and public lands.

Every attempt by the alarmists such as Andy Pitman, member of the bush-fire bastards club, to present some scientific correlation between AGW and the bushfires is defeated by basic and real science

Now Steffen is rabbiting on about rising temperatures. Steffen is right, temperatures have risen; naturally and unnaturally. The unnatural part has more to do with fiddling of the books rather than AGW. A comparison of the 1930 Australian Yearbook and the Bureau of Meteorology [BOM] adjusted temperatures for the same period shows how easy it is to produce a temperature increase; in other words AGW at the stroke of a pen.

On this basis a hearty welcome to both Will Steffen and the BOM as members of the bushfire bastards club.
