Polar Bears, Ice, cherry-picking and Lies

Photoshopped Picture.
Recently Dr. Tim Ball, a renowned environmental consultant and former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg, wrote on his blog:
Usually, whatever aboriginal or indigenous people say about the environment is sacrosanct to environmentalists and government. However, when they disagree their knowledge is belittled and ignored. It is happening to the Inuit about polar bears.
Environmentalists and government claim polar bears are doomed because of global warming.
Previously this (NCTCS)  blog has written of the alarmists' shameful treatment of Mitch Taylor (see here and here.) Also, referred to peer -reviewed literature:

Relevant Paper: Monnett, C., and J. S. Gleason, 2006. Observations of mortality associated with extended open-water swimming by polar bears in the Alaskan Beaufort Sea. Polar Biology, 29, 681-687.

The paper states in it’s Discussion: “Our observation suggest that polar bears swimming in open waters near Kaktovik drowned during a period of high winds and correspondingly rough sea conditions between 10 and 13 September 2004. No other deleterious environmental conditions were present that might have led to the deaths of those polar bears.” And “We believe that the increased risk of swimming in open water is not likely to result simply from long distance swimming as polar bears are considered strong swimmers.”

Tim Ball's latest post is HERE.

It concludes:
An objective of the global warming/climate change hysteria is to suggest what is happening is abnormal. This is achieved by cherry-picking events and patterns that support that claim. When the entire pattern is included and the mechanism explained, people can see that what is happening is normal and similar to similar periods in history.

Time to raise Hell over the Carbon (dioxide) Tax

David Archibald is an Australian Climate Scientist. He has written an opinion piece for News Weekly.

After quoting Plato:
“The punishment which the wise suffer, who refuse to take part in government, is to live under the government of worse men.”
he goes on to say that we are being ruled by evil men and women.
It is now universally accepted that the carbon tax is a very bad thing promoted by evil people.

The evil goes back a bit further than Julia Gillard’s broken promise and Kevin Rudd’s inane pronouncements. This tax has been a long time coming, and has mixed paternity.
The last dark deed of the Howard Government was the passage of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act in October 2007. That act is the auditing basis of the carbon tax.
He says that the evil goes beyond Howard, Rudd and Gillard.
As a scientist, what saddens me is that most of our scientific institutions have failed in their duty to serve and protect the Australian people. The CSIRO, the Bureau of Meteorology, the universities — these have all failed us and sold their souls for a handful of silver. Our academics have met our lowest expectations of them.
Then there are the institutions that actively, and purposefully, and very treacherously, conspire against us.
Chief among them is the ABC, which has ceaselessly, and shamelessly, promoted the bizarre cult of carbon.
He also says that "We must use this opportunity — your righteous anger — to unleash the Furies on those who failed us, and those who conspired against us."
